Six things a client cannot do without you.
Pick one engagement — ideally the one you would least like to lose — and answer six questions about what would happen to it if you stopped on Friday. You get a workpaper naming what only you can currently do, in the order worth fixing. The same list is what is standing between you and the next client, because an engagement you cannot hand over is one you can never put down.
Written for fractional CFOs and anyone carrying the finance seat at more than one company. Handover is part of what you sell, not an afterthought at the end — and it is the only part of the engagement nobody builds until the week they need it.

Conclusion
This is a self-assessment, not an audit, an opinion or an assurance engagement. Byram Advisory Group is not your auditor. Nothing here was sent anywhere — the workpaper above was assembled in this browser from what you selected.
A Close Teardown is forty-five minutes on your actual close, and you leave with one written page: where the hours go, which entities do not tie, and which of these you still cannot evidence. Free, five a month, no access and no credentials.
Handover is the part nobody builds until the week they need it.
Every other part of a fractional engagement gets designed. The close gets designed, the reporting pack gets designed, the cadence gets designed. The exit gets assembled in a hurry, out of whatever happens to be written down, in the fortnight after somebody gives notice — which is the fortnight you are least able to spare.
These six are the questions a successor asks in their first week. They are also, in a different order, the reason you cannot take another client: work only you can do is not leverage, it is a ceiling. An engagement that could be handed over tomorrow is one you can charge an exit fee for, price a renewal against, and put down long enough to start the next.
Nothing here is legal advice, and this is not a review of your engagement. It is six questions and your own answers, which stay in your browser.
